I believe that pratice and good presentation can eliminate all drawbacks of such gimmick.

Remember, magic comes from magician, not from those gimmicks. Otherwise, everyone can be magician with gimmick, right? Why need us then?

In the Uk I have used the English Penny and Half dollar. A good effect but people here are suspicious of the 'odd' choice of coins. I have a friend who makes shells/double headed coins for the trade and hopefully he will be able to come up with a compromise with the UK coins and perhaps the Euros.

Yes, I requested Peter's no-gimmick routine and I like it.
I don't think I'll be going back to any of the gimmicked methods.
Simple, direct and entertaining.
