Could a coin, a half dollar for example, be loaded into it from thumb palm or classic palm?
Thanks |

Yes it could. You could load a coin from almost any position. The coin obviously has to leave your hand to get into the wallet, so eventually, regardless of how you are holding the coin, you have to let it go.

Thanks for the reply. Just out of curiousity, have you tried it? How difficult is it?

It seems like it would be very easy to me.
Those that also use it... what do you use for a gu*d*? I crafted my own but wondered if others just used the fla*.

Frank,
Take your driver's license and laminate it yourself. Cut the size of the laminate so it fills the compartment. Give it rounded corners. Now when you raise it, it's a full guide, and you can't miss it. Not only that, but when you push it in, it can't help but line up inside the compartment (as opposed to the smaller piece or just your drivers license turning at an angle inside the window). Lastly, when you look through the window, you can't tell the license has been laminated. Everything looks quite normal. When the card is in place, you can clearly see it behind the drivers license. Oh, one more thing: because you've cut the laminate to completely fill the compartment, it also very slightly overlaps the inside seam and prevents the card from hanging up on it when you remove it for the revelation. |

That's exactly what I did.
Sort of. I taped a couple of my business cards to the back of my license to the right size.

I just use a credit card. I didn't modify it at all. I just stuck it in there. I've never had a problem loading a card. I've never tried a coin however. I would imagine it could be done pretty easily. You could actually probably place an envelope in for the guide. You could just place the coin in as you push it home. Open the wallet and reveal that the coin is not only in the wallet but inside the envelope. Haven't tried it but it might be a workable idea.

You know those little plastic boxes that are used to vanish a card? Pull the the gimmick out of that for your slide. Works like a charm.

Just as information, it was Bill Malone who first suggested to Steve Draun the idea of having the card appear behind the see-through window. Steve recognized how strong this could be and took it and ran with it.

The hippocketwallet or the Magic Martin's one, look like wallets, but somehow there is something about the dimensions I don't like.. Frank, IF you make your own wallet for sale, have a look around the leatherstores for REAL hippocket walletdesigns and try to make a look alike.. This even includes the goldprinting that is shown on the Magic Martin's wallet, actually it makes all the difference in the world re a magic prop and a normal wallet.. That's why the wallet I use 'The working performers wallet' bought from Ken Brooke, it is not only a normal wallet and looking like one, it also has the correct size.. NONE of the wallets made by leatherworkers for magic comes even close.. I'm still looking for a good hippocket wallet, I have rubbish enough and simply hesitate to buy anything that is not up to a decent standard..
