I remember reading about this one trick involving a spoon and a ring. it appears that you shove the spoon through the ring. I was wandering if someone could post something that would show me the best way to get the ring from one hand to the other without anyone knowing.

Jay Sankey has one effect using a spoon and a ring. I can't remember the name of the effect. Try checking out his vids.

There is a nice handling on the Ring Leader video in the bonus section at the end.

I believe it can be found on Vol 2 of Sankey's best of tapes but don't buy it without checking cos I'm not 100%

El Duco had a very clever marketed version a few years ago...

Sankey´s version is called "Stirring silver". You can find it on Gregory Wilson´s "Ring leader" as well as on his "Off the cuff" (and of course on Sankey´s video..)

You can find this on 'Sankeytized', if this is still available. This is loaded with some of Jay's best effects, including Paperclipped (#@*!), Leaving Home, Airtight, Mexican Jumping Coins and others.

Just on the same note of Ring and Spoon- I'll second the El Duco effect but found the gimmick wore itself down somewhat!
Simply Harkey has an effect with a ring and spoon- ring in salt shaker effect- I remeber reading that one a while back. Possibly a little messy for my liking, worth looking back at it though! |

I would suggest the Gregory Wilson method off the video off the cuff. I feel it is much cleaner.

Frsnk - 'Leaving Home' is the key off/on string routine. I just checked the video and it is Sankeytized I and II combined, by Magicians Video Network, so therein lies the confusion. A great video if you can find it...

The Sankey effect is also in 100% Sankey, a book, and is really remarkable to see and to do. Highly recommended, because it is completely impromptu.

Sankeytized I and II ( I've only seen II) are
among the great "key buys" in magic. Along with "On The Spot" by Gregory Wilson.

A guy from Penn State has a very nice variation on the Sankey Stirring Silver routine.
