Rafael,
Assuming that you have met Juan many, many times in the past, would you like share with us your thoughts about this magnificent magican? Maybe his approach to misederection, his close-up work, his work with cards, and his many books. I understand he is a star in a tv show in Spain. Would you mind telling us about this particular show? Magically Peo PS Will we see you (and maybe Juan) I'm Sweden 2006 during FISM?

Yes, I meet Juan regularly and he still fools me every single time with something that has nothing to do with anything. He doesn't do a regular TV show these days. he doesn't want to. He has done several series of programmes over the years. He organizes his life in such a way that he gets to spend as nuch time as possible with a table and a deck of cards. He's passionate about card magic to an incredible extent. yes, he's a celebrity in Spain but he seldom does interviews or goes to celebrity parties. He needs the time for better things. and he performs a full show, with maybe 70% of card magic for 500 people. Yes, I have plans to go to FISM. I once did a few lectures in Sweden but hardly had time to see the country. I have fond memories of great times with people I met like Clas Gradel. Good to hear from Lennart. He is incredible. I miss Topper Martyn. We had become very friendly as we worked many times together in Portugal, with Lis de Matos. Since he liked music so much, the last couple of times I took my lute with me just to play something for him. and we had long talks, and he told many wonderful stories. And I was there the last time he did his act. Lennart was also there that last time, I think. I hope he gets the tribute he deserves at FISM.

Topper Martyn and I met regulary, and I see him as my mentor. He learned me many valuble lessons in magic, and I was a regular visitor in his shop. I surley miss him.
I will tell Claes Gradell of the nice words you said about him. If you met him it must have been at some lecture in Norrkoping, because it is there were he lives. I will also tell Lennart hi from you. Looking forward to meet you 2006 Rafael.

I'm not involved in that project. Stephen Minch was in Spain to work on it with Juan, and Juan took him to his shows and did every trick for the book in front of an audience so Stephen could see them live. The book doesn't exist in Spanish. Stephen is writing it directly in English, and I think it's probably in a quite advanced state.
