Does anybody know of any other auction websites that are like Ebay? Any recommendations? Are other sites as popular as Ebay? Does anybody have experience with other shopping/bidding websites besides Ebay?

Thanks!

With 125 million registered users as of last month and more than 430,000 people in the United States alone making either a full-time or part-time living selling on eBay, it would be tough to beat. Transactions at eBay average approximately $1,060 per second! Yes, there, are others, but eBay is king.

I agree with Craig but to answer your query, Yahoo has an aution very similar to E-Bay.
I am sure there are dozens of E-Bay "clones" on the Internet but it seems to me that everyone who visits any other auction site also visits E-Bay.
If I was selling something or looking to buy something I would go to E-Bay first and then maybe some other site.

I believe http://www.half.com is a spin off of Ebay or maybe it's part of it I'm not sure but it's worth a look.

Look at major retailer sites. They often auction returned or old stock.
I bought a £700 cooker (brand new) for £210 on a retailer auction site.
It was comet auctions (UK)

Use your imagination and look for this sort of clearance auction in your neck of the woods!
