Welcome to my genetic engineering lab! I've been experimenting with taking the DNA from two different animals, to see what kind of new animals I get, and what qualities they have!
In past experiments, I've come up with animals with the qualities listed in items 1-11 below, each from mixing just two of the animals listed as items A through V below. Interestingly, the qualities came about as a mixture of their names. The new animal described in number 1 ("Runs in a gang") is a "mobster", which is a mixture of a mouse (G) and a lobster (J). Using the names of the animals given (each animal is only used once), it's your job to figure out what the names of my new animals are, and which animals were used to create them! QUALITIES 1. Runs in a gang 2. Appears to be very wise 3. Has a very rich fur 4. Was born in ealy October 5. Is very lazy 6. Is very fond of wine 7. Lives in groups, military style 8. Is good at balancing trays 9. Has a sweet disposition 10. Has a waxy appearance 11. Can hum 8 different notes ANIMALS A. Raccoon B. Giraffe C. Goose D. Cat E. Lion F. Skunk G. Mouse H. Baboon I. Kangaroo J. Lobster K. Walrus L. Gopher M. Parakeet N. Platypus O. Zebra P. Camel Q. Whale R. Tiger S. Dolphin T. Alligator U. Caribou V. Llama |

Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy; The way into my parlour is up a winding stair, And I've a many curious things to show when you are there. Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain, For who goes up your winding stair -can ne'er come down again. |

Judging from the responses so far, it seems I made the odd ones too hard!
BTW, I'm not going to respond yet on whether any answer is right or wrong, because I want to see at least one answer to each question before I do that. |

Careful Patrick! You've used whale twice, and I mentioned in the original post that each animal was only used once.

How fitting that the puzzle was brought to a conclusion by a spotty cat and a French duck.
