Has anybody heard of this magician?

A friend of mine has recently obtained one of this magician's posters, which he believe is quite old.

It describes him as an Originator, and shows him performing a sort of see-through sawing through illusion (or so I'm told).

I have never heard of this magician, and I cannot find any reference to him (although I may have got the name slightly wrong).

Can anyone out there provide any information / sources?
