Brent, as a designer.. you will also want to keep in mind that the name and ultimate logo or identity needs to flow well and read well so that it gets ease in recognition and that people can recall it instantly. You will also want a logo that possibly suggests some great imagry that can be conveyed in the final logo creation.
There are some pretty good ones listed above. The one that struck me the best so far was a simple one called Take Five. I loved that because it is short, sweet and rememberable but is also a play on words. It can also lead to some nice imagry for the logo mark. Let me know if you would like further ideas. I can put my creative thinking cap on and come up with some more for you. Kyle

Aww then perhaps that is why I liked it so much. lol But a name that is short and sweet like that and rolls off the tongue is what I think you are after.
Five of a Kind is kinda cool and has a nice flow to it. Good imagry as well. Is it taken already> I have no clue but I like it. Kyle

Not a bad idea and the logo could look very cool as a nice typography text treatment. Some cool design looks come to mind with it.

Back during the Great Folk Music Scare of the 1960's, I played the banjo in a trio. We called ourselves "The Glendale Three." Glendale 3 was a telephone exchange.
We got the idea from Butterfield 8.

We put together a short run with a hotel that wanted a monthly variety entertanment show in their large conference room. They initially contacted me to be the first performer for it, and somehow I got roped into doing most of the organization, booking, promotion, etc. They wanted me to come up with the name and we called it "Tricks and Giggles". It ran for 4 months until the owner sold the bar/restaruant and conference center. The new owners have contacted me about resurrecting it for them, but my intention is to go on the road full time in the spring. If you like it, feel free to use it, as I have no intention of mustering the energy required to keep something like that going in a smal market (our town is about 70,000). On a good note, we sold out al 4 shows! Our format was 2 entertainers, 1 comedian and 1 magician. We also had a meal included in the events.
Good luck with your show! |

MEN OF MYSTERY ....a variety show
This is the name we ended up with I just wanted to thank everyone for the help. You all really allowed us to look at this from all directions and decide what name best fit the show we have. Thanks again, Brent Braun |
