I really wanted to learn the three shell game and learn it WELL!
So I ordered a set of gold shells off the net for $45.00.I checked the mail everyday.Once they showed up I went to work. They looked beautiful, even came in a black velvet case. I practiced for weeks. But no matter how much practice I put in I got "nailed" stealing the pea everytime.Very frustrating to say the least. What was I doing wrong? I was talking to a magician friend on the phone one day and told him about my problem. He ask what set of shells and what kind of pea did I have.I said I wasn't sure but they sure looked nice.He invited me over. He pulled out his set of School for Scoundrels "Golden Shells" and a set of perfect peas that come with the Shells. The first thing I noticed was the weight.School for Scoundrels shells were much heavier.I did the same moves I had been working for weeks and you couldn't see a thing.Seems like it wasn't me it was the shells and the pea.My friend told me,here put it on this glass coffee table and do it.I started to move the close up pad on the coffee table,he said NO just do it on the glass.I said NO WAY!!!! He said YES WAY! I did it and it work as good as being on a close up pad.(I still find this hard to believe) So without saying I ordered my own set from School for Scoundrels.Well worth every penny. As they say "You get what you pay for" and so true in this case. Go check them out at http://www.chefanton.com/scoundrelsstore/index.htm Later,Don PS I have a set of shells for sale...they come in a black velvet case... |
