I am putting together show, and have chosen the following garb.
The first part of the show will be scientific magic, and so a lab coat, making me look similar to my Avitar pictured here <----- The next part is everyday satge magic, and so a sport coat and tie. Finally the escape sectiont o wind it up has the coat and tie gone so I am down to a tee shirt and jeans.
Magic is like Science,
Both are fun if you do it right! |

In the two-hour stage show, I usually only make one costume change and that is from the silver costume before intermission to the true white tie and black tails for the second half of the show. However, Lucy changes about four times in a normal show.
For shows in the flat I wear a sport coat but I frequently ditch the tie. (I can't go the shirt without buttons because I need them!) Bob Magic By Sander |

Try here: http://www.softwear-tnt.com/labcoat.html
The back has the "Mad Scientist's Union Local 3.14" logo of a mad scientist on it. My personal physician wears one at work. Gotta love that! Lee Darrow, C.H.

That's why they mark spots on stage for performers with something called "gaffer's tape." It's so us old gaffers can find our marks without using our assistants as seeing eye ladies!
