As if in answer to Steve Fearson's "Why do people still buy macs?" question, the San Francisco Chronicle responds.

The issue Steve addressed is very real. Compatibility issues w browsers etc cause support problems.
One coud just as well say that sensible people are running BeOS or Linux with a freebie GUI and the MSWord/Excel compatible word processor and spreadsheet programs. The brand war between Mac and the PC was won quite a while ago. The user has lost in both cases. Try to find a sensible alternative. Just try.

The number of webmasters who put on the site "made with a Mac". I think Macs are a superb publishing tool; and the benchmark for printers, - but maybe the followers are a bit like Landrover owners - you know, sort of religious about the equipment (although Macs hopefully more reliable).
