I only watched the halftime show.
Wow. That was one of the most generic, soul-less pieces of formula "entertainments" I've seen. (Okay, I don' get out much). Just out of curiosity--how much, if any, of what was presented on the tv screen was CGI?

I'm pretty sure the word "dynasty" might need to be applied.

I've never been a Pats fan, but I love to see the greatest of all time add to, and further cement his legacy.
This was a fantastic defensive battle and an intense tactical battle between the two coaches. For me, a high score doesn't mean a good game. |

True a high scoring game doesn't make it a good game.
But many that never watch that much football watches the superbowl and those are the ones wanting to see scores. Tom

Chiefs Rams Monday Night Football, Score was 54-51. They consider it the best MNF Game ever. EVERYONE wanted to see that match-up in the Superbowl. It would have been the highest rated game ever. Defense may win Championships but offense boosts ratings.

It is the same in many sports. Hockey had opened up and gotten faster so the scores go up to get people excited. This is true.

March 26, 2018:
The decision comes months too late for the New Orleans Saints and their fans, but the NFL decided Tuesday to change its rules regarding reviews of possible pass interference – whether a flag is thrown on the play or not. The change, which will take effect this coming season on a one-year trial basis, passed in a 31-1 vote at the league’s spring meeting in Phoenix. Under the rule change, coaches will be able to request a review of any pass interference call – or non-call. |

I read somewhere that it was the Bengals that voted against it.
