Hi,
I used to have “magician’s fluid” which I applied to dry hands and it made handling coins, cards much easier. I always wanted to make my own. I think that it is glycerin, dishwashing liquid and something elaw. Does anyone know what I’m talking about, and do you have the recipe? Thanks |

I have always (40 years) used “corn huskers lotion”. Moistem the skin if too dry. Drynthe skin if too moist.

Equal amounts of Glycerine, alcohol, and Rosewater.
I personally have never used it. Gary Oulette mentions it in his book "Close-up Illusions". |

Seems everyone has their favorite. I think Roth recommended rosin.
Mine is simple children's non-drying modeling clay. I can throw a small clump in a small plastic bag; then just roll it in my hands to leave an invisible, dry residue. It gives me a good amount of a "tack". John

For some reason, every time I tried Chamberlain's, I got a headache. If some one wants it, we can discuss a sale.

I just received 32 oz of Gycerol (that's a lot!!) so I will experiment. I tried dawn and glycerol (equal parts) and it is too greasy. I will try the alcohol

I found glycerin to be great for cards, but never for coins...

Here is what works for me:
Equal parts glycerol and alcohol and a small amount of Dawn dishwasher liquid. I use only a small amount (a few drops) and rub it into my hands. They become a little moist and sticky, perfect for coins, cards, balls and wiggle sticks (what I call hot rod tricks). |

Not a liquid but a solid sold in office supply stores designed for banking, paper sorting such as checks and mail sorting etc.. It is tacky and you rub your fingers in a small container of SortKwik and they will stay tacky for quite a while. The little container is about the size of a stack of 6 half dollars and is an easy carry item. I use this a lot for cards and TT effects when the fingers get too dry. Lasts an hour or so if I’m very active. It’s less than $3 a container. Amazon has a 3 pack add-on for under $5.
