To use devils/demons/imps and such in his posters?
I take it that the red-garbed fellow in this Herrmann the Great poster is Mephistopheles: http://rlv.zcache.co.uk/herrmann_leon_th......_512.jpg And the tall, red garbed figure in this Kellar poster is likely Mephistopheles as well; http://imgc.allpostersimages.com/images/......ster.jpg In this Kellar poster we see both Mephistophelees and a couple of imps: https://i.etsystatic.com/10537430/r/il/0......7is7.jpg I wonder, too, when this practice of associating magicians with demons/imps began--in both literature and art. ----- Amado "Sonny" Narvaez
