It's a complete rubish for everyone reading the books. Waste of Time.

That's why I always try to watch the visual medium version of something before reading the books. I am enjoying the show, and later I will get to enjoy the books.

Honestly I've gotten pretty good at separating adaptations from the source material. Otherwise it would be pretty nearly impossible to enjoy any of them.

I've tried watching it and it's not really keeping my ADHD brain attention but the swordfights are cool.
A totally unrelated but fairly dark show I AM getting really into is The Prodigy.

I enjoyed the Witcher, I also very much enjoyed the new take on Dracula, showing on Netflix as well

I felt it was spoiled a little by reinventing the backstories of Yen, Triss and Ciri...

And the timelines were a bit confusing and unnecessary...

It was only 8 episodes so clarity would have been a friend...

I'm always curious why this is done for any already successful storyline.

I remember the writers of Tomb Raider being asked why something was left out or changed and they said it was in the original script but the director wanted a writing credit.
