LOL! The review of my little card box (Cosmo's Card Box) was AWESOME! It was fun watching you guys argue over it. I am an instant fan of you guys!!! (okay one of you anyway!)
Hey Craig, I'm a long time sleight guy, I can roll with the best of 'em, but I have yet to find a way to do something like "Joker Monte'" (or anything that a himber wallet is the best alternative) with pure sleights, well I take that back a "practical" way. OF COURSE Marlo probably didn't need a himber wallet... To each his own my friend, but really, to say the age old Himber wallet idea is useless is, well, just silly. Hey no offense taken (or intended) actually, I like it! I'm hoping you guys review more of my stuff, I LOVE the concept of your show etc and I'll be tuning in regularly! Thanks guys for the review, I know you have lots to choose from... By the way Craig IT'S SOLD OUT WITHIN HOURS AND THEN AGAIN A FEW DAYS LATER! So there! Nyaaah! Coz |

Yup, you can get the box with Joker Monte; the box by itself comes with a few routines, a members website with additional routines and information and (updated info to come), including videos for other moves that may be needed etc.

I quite like Himber wallets. But if you can use a card box ( and the cards can actually be carried in the card box ) it seems like a first rate idea. And it says this works with ANY card box.
The Joker Monte routine looked like a good one. So, two items for around $13.00. I'm in!

Haha it's funny that Craig gave this a bad review, and now I'm actually quite interested in it. Seems like a nice idea. Plus $13 for that Joker Monte routine and the card box, seems like a good buy! Plus that demo video made my day lol.

Hey Coz
Great to hear from you, glad you caught the show! As you gathered from the show, the product just didn't click for me. To be honest the reason is all the applications that the box offers I already have other ways of accomplishing. Although I do admit it does make some things nice and easy. I guess my main issue is the price - I think it is a little too much money for what it is! Having said all that David loves the idea and has continued to keep it is his act for the reasons he mentioned on the show, so it looks like you have won over Dave!!! Anyway, thanks for your comments Coz, I am glad your sales are going well and please keep watching the show! Craig |

Well well, this is a kick!
I can understand your point on the price to some extent... (for David, what price do you put on an item that becomes part of your repertoire?) This item to me, is a great idea, it solved a long time problem I had with not wanting to use a wallet, where slights weren't "practical" either. however how do you put a price on just an idea? Honestly its sad that we (magicians) don't value ideas more. So how does one take an idea to market? My original box which I showed around over 15 years ago is now being produced by someone else. (Hopefully not intentionally) So wanting to put this out before it got taken too, I put together a website, some gaff cards and went the extra mile by adding videos, even teaching some standard moves that are used in the routines, just in case. Not to mention some pretty cool (IMHO) routines with gaffs. This to give the product extra value for the price and spawn creativity. Yes as a stand alone it's pricey for the materials, but Cosmo's Card box is more a complete Kit with a living growing website included. The alternative is just a set of instructions on what to do with tape or glue and then it sells for a few bucks, (since an idea's value has diminished these days) I was torn between a lower price and keeping my own integrity. I chose the latter. Imagine if I sold it for a half and just gave a sheet of assembly instructions. Wow your show would have really stung! I think a product review deserves the full product being reviewed. The website, the videos, the quality of the printed materials at least deserved mention as the other reviewers have. I would have preferred hearing the videos and routines were "rubbish" then no mention at all. I've gotten great feedback on the Mac Aces routine, which has some nice visuals and an added element of isolation, etc. Not to mention the other routines are pretty solid which I do use in performance for real. I accept that the box itself isn't for everyone, a review should consider the value it would have for the average customer, the downside or even lack of usefulness for the advanced and the upside for the less than average joe. One man's rubbish is another man's Cheeseburger! (Man I like that word, RUBBISH!) Hey I agree with review King, classy post Craig. Glad to be a part and yes I will continue to watch, and will continue to insist my friends around the world watch! I've already started bragging about the show. Wish I thought of it! Apologies for the long post! |

Can the box be shown empty when placing the card inside, and shown empty again after making the switch? I notice in the demos that the cards are "dumped" out, but the box is not shown empty.

If I want a Cosmos Card box, how do I find items that are discontinued? Or, is there a new card box like this that has a different name?
