I started collecting magic with Tenyo, and now have over 100 Tenyo effects, and
another hundred miscellaneous things I picked up along the way. Turns out I really don't have a need to collect all 275 Tenyo. So I've been trying to figure out what direction I want the collection to go in. Well I finally figured it out. Rather than specialize in a specific manufacturer I am going to put together collection which represents the best of the best. SO,,,,,,, Here is a list of producers and some of the tricks I already own by each one. 1- Which manufacturers/inventors have I missed. 2- I would like to own 2-4 effects from each one. 3- I like pocket tricks with clever mechanics. 3- Any recommendations as to which tricks best represents them would be really appreciated. Don't forget Clarence Miller and Kent Bergmann, both micro-magic masters. Joe Porper makes some incredible close up magic as well.
You'd also like some of the German micro-magic out there, like items produced by Zauber-Zentrale and Zauber Butike. Here are a few fun sites to explore: http://www.martinsmagic.com http://www.thebestmagic.com/?myaf=af_mm http://warner.qualitymagic.com/?myaf=af_mm http://www.alanwarnermagic.com/?myaf=af_mm Enjoy!

If your interested I can tell you where to get them. You don't need all of them, just a sampling and people like Tannens sold just about evry mfg. The good news you can get a recent Tannen catalogs from Amazon, sometimes for less than $5. Go to Amazon, in the search bar check books and then enter "magic catalogs" for a sample of various dealers or just type. in "Tannen magic catalogs" or "Abbotts catalogs." (The last person to print big fat catalogs was the guy that got busted and went out of business in Mass. I may even have a duplicate I can send you for postage) The second alternative is to join the Conjuring Arts Org. for $95 and have access to all of the magic magazines (and dealer ads)

D. Robbins is a major wholesaler and their old prints catalogs were titled EZ Magic
http://www.ezmagicrobbins.com/ Go here for a sampling of most major mgf. in this guys collection. And he has pictures of the Grant catalogs that every magic dealer in America used as their own. http://www.magictrickcollection.com/uf-grant.htm And then there are dealers in England like Stanley, Holmes, Gamage (long out of business) Don't forget Burling Hull, Brema, Johnson, Nelson

Stevens Magic still puts out a printed catalog...well, not a catalog of their entire inventory, but whatever they are trying to promote. It's still very old school and welcomed by this guy. When I get it in the mail I squeal like a school girl.
Not pretty to witness.
