I started acquiring magic tricks and equipment at about 12 years old, mostly from the old Douglas Magic (Dallas) and Elbee (Louis Burcke San Antonio) back in the 60’s. Mostly performed for neighborhood kids and my own kids until they got older. A few at work for adults, but for the most part my several tubs of magic has been sitting in a closet for close to 20 years unseen and untouched.
Now that my grandkids (13yrs to 6yrs) are old enough, I have been doing done of the better tricks for them, and have a new interest in the magic arts at the ripe old age of 71. I just spent 3 days trying to match up instructions with magic tricks I had forgotten how to do. You think you will always remember how to do one, but 20 years takes a toll on the memory. |

Great thing about the Café, you can post questions about a forgotten prop and get help ...
