I have a set of original Stainless Jim Sisti cups, Pre-RNT2 Magic. I love them. I have 1 copper Sisti cup in copper. Not sure where the other two cups
are, someone out there must have them lol. Great cups by a great person and performer.

I have a RARE set of Sisti Cups in Church Bronze which I purchased from the estate of the late Dr. Bruce Jensen in Minneapolis.
In my opinion, the Sisti cups are WORKERS cups and feel GREAT in my small-ish hands. |

Rainboguy,
How can you tell church bronze from bass? Help |

In my experience, once the cups have been used, the Church Bronze seems to have a different color tint than the brass does. Brass tends to turn more green-ish and brown-ish as it develops a patina. As un-polished, The Church Bronze cups have a tiny bit more of a brighter, reddish-gold tint to them. Having said this, it is true that there are different variations in tint in different batches of metals that cups are spun from.
Great question, though. The real resident experts to put this question to here on the Café are Donnie Buckley, Bill Palmer and Made Jake Jr. If anyone knows about such things.....these guys will. IF you prefer to always polish your cups, the difference in the tints of the cups you use as seen, whether they are Church Bronze or Brass will be negligible because they will both be shiny and "gold-ish"...if this makes sense to you. Personally, other than a Tommy Wonder set, I don't use Brass Cups and much prefer Satin Copper Cups as they age more gracefully, in my opinion. |

What would you like to know?
I use the Sisti Professional Steel Cups almost everyday. They are heavy and built like tanks. I had mine plated because the steel was getting black spots which were getting to be a pain to clean all the time before performances. |
