This is a strange story, that simply goes to show how easy it can be to make money. Personally it left me feeling a bit cheated, but we'll let you be the judge.
Back in the late 80's I was active in professional wrestling. I was a referee in a small time promotion in a gym in Brooklyn New York. A good frind of mine "managed" a stable of wrestlers, and it was through him that I got the "job" as referee. Money wasn't there. We charged very little for the kids to come and see the weekly show on saturday night. Mostly we were trying to keep them off the streets, and away from junkies and hookers etc. I had already had some stage experience both in community theater and in my escape artist show, so "acting" as a referee wasn't hard. Even taking the hits wasn't hard. One day, a guy from a small local newspaper shows up. He says nothing to anyone as he watches the show, but after he introduces himself and does some short interviews. My fried the manager, dresses as a shiek and is about as arabian as the american flag. He is Italian, and he looks italian, and he sounds like an italian american that he is. He is also a terrible actor, though he does well yelling at the fans and getting them mad. That is the managers real job anyway, to get the fans into the show better. He gets a write up in the paper. Which is seen by a wealthy man. I do not know this mans name or what he did for a living, but Mr. Money reads the article, and asks my friend would he agree to show up at a formal banquet birthday for another wealthy man and be the sheik. When asked how much the shiek made a night, he was told $200, (yeah right, we were happy when we got car fare for pay) The guy pays him $200, has him picked up in a strecth limo to be brought to and from the banquest. Here is the problem. He has no acting skill at all and he knows it. So he asks me to come with him. He is an italian dressed ask an arabian sheik, and I am Jewish dressed like an mafia movie mobster. LOL. He gets up there, used some arabian profanity that the guy taught him and basically freezes in front of all these suits at the banquest. I keep trying to prompt him in my godfather voice. (I am good with voices, but I couldn't maike the voice match the look) I am thinking that Mr. Money is kissing his $200 good bye for nothing, but after he gave my friend a check and said well done, and sent us home in his limo. As an exercise to the reader, thinking about a friend who pulled your fat out of the fire kind of deal, who will be the first to guess how much of that $200 I should have gotten, and how much I did get. If you don't want to guess, I hope you enjoyed the story.

I'd say you were probably entitled to half the dough. I'll guess you got zilch.
