Hi Everyone!
Does anyone know of a source for obtaining custom curtains or drapes? I've got a room in my house dedicated as a "Magic Room" (see details at http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/searc......=3970821 ) and I wanted to add a set of custom curtains to the room to help add to the magic motif. Any references on someone in business who could make these curtains would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! ** Bill ** |

Hi, Bill!
I don't know much about curtains, but I know some of the regulars know about backdrops and the like. Exactly what "custom" elements are you looking for? Size? Colour? Material? I don't imagine you need flame-retardancy, do you? Cheers!

Hi Dan!
By the way I've used the hints and tips at your website to set up my PA system and appreciate all the good info you have to offer. The curtains I'm interested in are to cover the window in my magic room. The window is about 59 inches square and the bottom of the window sits 20 inches off the floor. The curtains do not need to be flame resistant but I wouldn't want them made out of flash paper either! <grin> What I had in mind was something black in color decorated with wizards, stars, lightning bolts, magic wands, rabbits coming out of a hat, etc. All I need to do is find someone who can make them up for me. Cheers! ** Bill ** |

Actually, I mended a small hole in my pyjamas yesterday, but I don't think I'm up to curtains.

Any idea where I may find some of the wizards, stars, lightning bolts, magic wands, rabbits coming out of a hat that I would have the seamstress use when he/she makes the curtains?
Thanks! ** Bill ** |

Well I enlisted the services of my mother-in-law (great lady!) and she has volunteered to be my seamstress. Joanne Fabrics should have the fabric for the curtains so all I need to do is track down the magical decorative items referenced above. Still looking ...

A little expensive perhaps, but you could have them custom printed. Here is a link to try: http://www.eacgs.com/eac/Default.aspx?tabid=51

I spent some time in a fabric shop and also Wal-Marts fabrics and found a combination of shear stars and a bluse velveteen cloth which I was going to use as a back drop, now they are looking good toward curtains.
