Greetings!
Just wanted to give an update on this escape since so many were following it and commented on it. For those who weren't here then this escape involves passing out two combination locks for the audience to change and then use to chain my into a casket. Two cuffs also secure me. The casket, complete with clear, see-through sides is full of water and the flat lid is closed and locked from the outside. I'll have one breath with which to escape. My "Burial At Sea" escape was planned for a performance a couple of months ago but the night before the performance two pieces held on by two-part marine epoxy broke lose so other escapes were substituted and the show went on. I have since drilled holes in the casket for the mounts eliminating the possiblity of this happening again. The casket is now set up at the DuBois Mall for Saturday's escape. There has been good press coverage and I have an interview with a reporter in the morning. Radio and television studios have received releases but I've not heard from them so I'll start massaging them tomorrow. I have two shows on Wednesday which is going to have to steal my attention for a day but then I'll be back onto the escape. Everything is a "go" so far (fingers crossed, prayers said...). There is a lot of energy so I believe it will be a packed crowd. I'll post pictures of the setup after tomorrow and video after the esacpe. You'll probably not hear much from me till then due to all that has to be done in the meanwhile.... Onward and upward! Clyde |

Hehehe Don, massaging equals massaging... means sweet-talking good coverage, film-opts, etc. You "rub them the right way" so that they come around to your way of thinking/needs/goals.
Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I finished the setup and held an interview with the local paper. Seems it is a slow week in news so they promised a short article tomorrow and a lengthy one on Thursday or Friday. A reporter and photographer are to be at the escape as well. Trying to utilize the situation for all I can, I sprung the news about W.E.A.R. I'll start a new post in hopes of informing folks who may/may not read this discussion. Thanks again! I'll keep you posted! Clyde |

Again, thank you for your well wishes. The setup is now up to see if you like: mighellsillusions.com/BurialAtSeaEscape.htm I will have three video cameras going and will post a video once it is completed. Everything is looking good. I'll keep you posted.
Steve, as to the towel.... I was going to do it in a black sweat suit but then thought about standing up in a wet sweat suit.... now THAT'S scary! I'll be wearing shirt, tie and dress slacks... how else would you be buried? Clyde |
