Hey guys I'm already planning a halloween show and am trying to figure out how I can make ghosts fly around a theater like Lance Burton, Copperfield and several others have done. The problem is find a gizmo to reel in a line really fast. It almost seems like the line has to be a bungy cord type material. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

What is the size of the theater? We have done this before in smaller venues such as banquet halls, clubhouses and even in homes. It is a formidable task in a large set theater and costlier than you may want to spend (based on quotes we have received from safety insurance and fire marshals).

High school size auditorium. Why would the fire marshall care about this?

Fire marshall care anytime for any event if there is a large group of people together for a public event....even a high school play.
