No rush on spinning me a wand. TCB first. That was Elvis motto and I try to live by it. Im sure you know but for anyone else reading who might not TCB means Take Care of Business or Taking Care of Business depending on who you talk to about it. At one time I played piano with a band called Memphis which was some of Elvis' old mates after he had passed on and they all had those gold TCB medallions that The King gave his pals, hanging around their necks.

We'll talk about the lathe thing. I have a small mini lathe that's easy to travel that I use in my casino chip manufacturing.

Pete,

Those are great notes! Thank you. I've found several things in them I can use now. Next meeting we need you there.

I guess you learned something from Michael's post above about the aims of the organization. Sawing Logs ---- ZZ! Come on give folks a hint! (I have doubts that people will ever get to see PMZZ Action Figures. But we do eat well!)

Tabman, Auburn is about an hour away from Montgomery. If that's not a long ways from your mom's house, maybe we could get together there sometime. Frequently, I can get away from the Legislature as long as I can get back in an hour if the phone rings.

That is the area where My K-Otics were from before the Classics IV. There are a lot of good entertainers from around there.

Bob, Auburn's not all that far from Sumter county and we can meet up over there. Fact is, my daddy went to Auburn. He was the lone outcast at the GA-Auburn game every year. One of my best friends from home is also an Auburn grad and a Ga State Sen. We grew up listening to the Big Bam too.

I'm hoping to retire down there sometime over the next couple years myself, retire to my magic workshop in a Pecan patch somewhere near my mama's house so I can look in on her most days. I'm looking forward to it if I can ever dig myself out of here.

That's the best yet! Gotta be a 10.0

Just got back from entertaining an apartment clubhouse full of 10 year old criminals. I needed that sharpest knife in the drawer...

Shop Tip 1: Have a work table at the right height (not too low) when 'shrinking' Heads. Otherwise a stiff neck will form and you will get cranky.

Doug if you want an official PMZZ membership certificate suitable for framing (not burning) then PM your mailing address. I've got to make one for Daniel and I might as well make up two while Ive got the printing press going!!!

Bob, seems like I remember it on the tail with that yellow lightning bolt zig zagged across the stabalizer fin.

The plane was named Lisa Marie. It's across from Graceland in Memphis nowadays.

Another one I wanted to meet, but never did. I was 17 when he died. I was working at Six Flags on the river ride, and doing close up for people waiting in line.

Tabman,

You do have a memory like a steel trap. Back in my guitar days we would get booked on the package shows and would get all three The Big Bam, The Big Ape, and WVOK on the same day. We would fly from show to show and hardly make it.

Michael,

I had forgotten about the Big Ape. Man, that was a great time for music and young bands. The indie record scene was hopping and 45s covered Dixie Like The Dew and The Atlanta Constitution!!!

If you can get some splits out of the other piece do it. Ive got at least 4 or 5 more smaller pieces that would do for spinning a few wands. Someday I would like one like that beauty you made of the SA Cherry wood.

Please pardon the intrusion, but having lived here in Birmingham and known Michael for 20 or so years, I am a proud owner of two of his wands. One has an intricate carving, and while appearing fragile, has proven to be very sturdy. The second, my favorite is a bit shorter with a traditional tip. The opposite tip is a carved finger. Perfect for my C&B's, it also has enormous built in laughs. Anyone getting grabby with the props gets the "finger". lol.

Hello Sir Thomas!

I haven't seen you in a month of Sundays. In fact, I don't think I've seen you since before Michael came to The Magic City. Chris and I had dark hair then. Good to see you on The Café.

Enjoy!

No pardon needed, come on in and join the discussion such as it is. We just bs about magic this and some of that and get together and have supper together every once in a while. We call ourselves PMZZ, the worlds smallest and most exclusive magic club. We've got room for one more Smile

Am I psychic???? or did I see a bell handle in one of those logs????

Hi Tom, welcome.

Somewhere, I have an aircheck of WAPE and Greaseman. That was during my radio days. Remind me next time, and I'll dub off some of my old airchecks onto CD. That was some fun days in SMALL market radio (except for WFOM, which was Major Market land).

Good morning, friends!

Had a bit of time to sleep off the frustrations of yesterday. Square one now, right?

Tom's a quality guy and you guys are gonna enjoy talking with him. Welcome to PMZZ, Sir Tom!

Tabby, Bell handle... LOL! Bet you're glad your psychic abilities didn't see a toothpick in that log. I don't always make molehills out of mountains!

Sleep, what a concept!!

A toothpick in the log? I'm not EVEN going there! LOL

I got a nice email from the daughter of Dick Norman. He wrote the 'Modern Handcuffs Secrets' book and I had two copies so I put one on ebay.

She wrote me and said it was fun to see her dad's book there!!!!

Hey there everyone. Sounds like a lot is going on around here. Those stocks are not looking very pretty, but I still have to work on 'em. I skipped the week because we've been out and about. I was wondering...do any of you have Skype? I just got a microphone set up today and already spoke with two people.
