I love doing magical routines and skits with music, but I only have a few songs. I currently use:

1. "Mission Impossible" (45 second version) for intro
2. "Get Ready For This" for one of my routines
3. "Theme to The Pianist" (I think that's the right movie) for one of my routines
4. "Pink Panther" for one of my routines

and that's all I have. I am trying to find 3 types of music for my routines that involve little or no words at all:

1. Upbeat with a touch of swing
2. Soft, but impacting and sounds a little mystical
3. Comedy music (not sounds, but real songs that match a comedy routine)

Does anyone know where I can find such music and if so, whom is the artist? I talked to one magician who travels around the world and he said something about a band called "Yellow." I've tried to find them, but couldn't come up with anything.

Try this site for royalty-free music:

No ASCAP/BMI license needed!

'Festivus Maximus' has a few pieces for comedy routines on it.

The band you are talking about is Yello. Best known for "The Race" and "Oh Yeah".

Another great resource is the Make it Magic series of royalty-free music CD's. As with Opus 1 products, you never have to worry about copyright infringement. The purchase price includes the performance rights. Check out some musical samples on the Product Page at http:www.arthurstead.com/productindex.htm

Sorry, that didn't work as a "link." Try http://www.arthurstead.com and look for the music clips.

I'll also vouch for Arthur Stead's "Make It Magic" series - to me, it's the BEST royalty-free music I've yet heard.

I can't recommend it highly enough!

Kind regards
