I've always wonderd how David Copperfield made the stature of liberty disappear. The plans could have been a little more in focus, but I was able to make out the overall plan.

Ever wonder why magicians only produce doves? Why not chickens or turkeys or even pigeons? The reason is because doves are mostly made of air and feathers, in other words they are highly compressible. In fact magicians use a special breed of dove known as a Pollack. Through many years of careful breeding and selection this dove can actually be compressed to the size of a Chicken McNugget tm. Thus twenty or thirty of these compressed doves can easily be hidden in a handkerchief or coat pocket. The magician simply, under proper misdirection, reaches into his pocket, removes a dove, fluffs it up and thus makes the bird seemingly appear out of thin air.
