Hi everyone!
Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Martin, I hail from Switzerland, and I currently divide my time between Zurich, Switzerland, and Berlin, Germany. A few months ago, when confronted with my extensive (and bulky!) magical past as a teenager – I was required to clear an attic of all my magic paraphernalia that had not been used for twenty years – instead of getting rid of everything as I had been planning to do I found myself succumbing to the fascination of magic all over again... Since then I have not only found much of my stuff to be still in perfect working condition (ah, the quality of yesteryear...!), but I have also discovered that, not surprisingly, the internet is an extremely convenient and powerful tool to keep up with the latest in magic, browse stores etc. This forum strikes me as being particularly helpful, and after some 'lurking', I have decided to join. Looking forward to many stimulating exchanges of opinions. Best regards Martin |

Hi Martin and welcome to the Café. I find myself in a similar situation. I'm getting back into the fun of magic, but unfortunately for me, the props of decades ago have long been lost. So I'm starting over from the beginning. But I've found this forum to be a wonderful source of information in all areas of magic. I'm sure you'll find lots of interesting information. Looking foward to reading your posts.

Hi Martin,
Another newcomer recently stated a similar story to yours. I commented that once bitten by the magic bug it sometimes goes dormant for a while, only to re-emerge years later. Sounds as if that happened to you as well. I'm sure you'll enjoy your time spent as the Café - lots of friendly people worldwide and great conversations. Please don't hesitate to post or ask a question of your own. Have fun! |

Hello Martin,
Welcome back to magic and The Magic Café. Some of us here don't even admit that we get older! There is a section on the Café that will really let you know that you are hardly behind. Check into the "Everything old is new again" section. I think you'll get a few laughs and some encouragement to dive right back into magic. Enjoy your magic! Bob Magic By Sander |
