Hey everybody,

Since I know you all have to stock up on your playing cards somehow, I thought I would let you know about my recent experience with Kardwell International (www.kardwell.com). Aside from poor customer service thus far they have cheated me on my shipping.

Admittedly, I am posting this e-mail in annoyance and in the middle of talks between myself and Karwell.

Four weeks ago I ordered 36 decks of Tally Ho playing cards, as decks of another brand and a few poker accessories, all to be shipped via Global Express Mail. Two weeks later (yikes) I received a package containing everything but the 36 Tally Ho decks (the biggest part). This package I received clearly said "AIRMAIL". I e-mailed Kardwell and received a very blunt message saying they had been shipped in different packages, 3lbs and 8lbs, via Global Express Mail. Since Global Express Mail has tracking numbers I requested this information but I received no response. I sent another independent e-mail to their contact address a week later but still received no answer.

It's been 4 weeks and I still have not received the Tally Ho cards. I'd like to think they have been shipped so I'm guessing they were probably sent via Global Economy Mail (which takes 4-6 weeks).

So I called Kardwell about my order. Aside from it sounding like the support person only half cares, it seems all they really know is what I ordered, not what happened to it. After waiting for a few minutes it was determined they couldn't answer my question yet, so they will call me back. I'm not expecting to hear from them so I will have to call them back tomorrow. Heck, I haven't even gotten a replies from an e-mail I've sent a week ago.

I do not recommend you order from Kardwell. They do have quite a listing of products, but they have cheated me on my shipping, with my 2nd package still not having arrived 4 weeks later. If anybody knows of any good bulk stores for playing cards, please let me and the forum know.

It's not totally a matter of poor shipping. They cheated my shipping. I asked for an express mail that takes 3-5 days and instead they shipped it airmail which takes up to 10 days (and it indeed took 10 days).

As far as I know, when I was on the phone... they said it was a possibility the second package was never shipped!

This reason is why I only use credit cards now when ordering from anyone. don't get it, call cc company and complain and get a refund. Normally it gets you your money faster then the company jerking you around.

Exactly. You should get you cards for free. I would call and ask for your money back.

Well I did pay by credit card but I hope not to get my credit card company involved if possible. I certainly won't let Kardwell push me around. Smile Just warning you guys so you don't have to go through this too.

PS I noticed a few typos in my original post. The "as decks of another brand" should have read "12 decks of another brand". I had received those 12 fine. The other 36 are still outstanding.

Whats the deal with kardwell. They are not offering your money back, or some free cards or what. Shoot, I would at least get back a few bucks for your shipping that they basicly made money on. Its like some of the guys on ebay. They charge 20 bucks shipping, knowing that it only cost about say 3-4 bucks so that they can make extra on shipping. Freaking A-holes. I would reach back like a pimp and smack kardwell in the jaw so they look like this.....Smile

It's late right now where I live. I'll be calling them again tomorrow afternoon since I don't expect them to call me back.

Thanks for telling us of your experience rkzad. I was tempted to purchase a bulkload of Tally's from them. I think you just changed my mind.

People do this on eBay to avoid paying Higher fees to eBay... this is actually clearly Against Ebay Policy. Ebay policy states that the seller can charge a "REASONABLE" handling fee. So if you see a seller that is constantly jacking up the shipping you can report him.

Hey guys,

Fortunately, my 2nd package JUST arrived today. Both had been shipped by Airmail instead of Global Express Mail. However I did get both, so that's good.

If you order from Kardwell, make sure to call them instead of ordering online. Then you'll probably get what you want.

Well I do suggest giving them a call. When you call them you will get more personal service than via the Internet. The lady who I was talking to suggested I did. I will try ordering from her again in the future, but hopefully I will be able to pay for airmail while getting global express mail Smile
