The effect is "8" Card brainwave, it would not work with 9 cards. I would like to add though some of my favorite packet effects are,
1 - Color Monte
2 - NFW
3 - Cascade
4 - 8 Card Brainwave
5 - Wild Card
6 - Macdonalds Aces
Do get Paul Hallas's book Small but Deadly for much info on packets..

The invisible deck, there's so much you can do with one, and if done right, with good presentation, it's one of the best.

Here here on invisible deck, I always use it as an adjunct to another effect rather than as a stand alone.

My favorite is Nick Trost's Mexican Monte. It was the first packet trick I ever got. You alway remember your first. Since then I've always enjoyed Michael Skinner's Ultimate Monte, and most recently John Kennedy's Mind Power Deck.

Lots of praise for colour monte. I have this but I have never managed to sort it out, maybe because I'm dyslexic and the instructions don't agree with me. I think I'll give it another go.

I just ordered Invisible Deck and Color Monte from MJM Magic. If I remember correctly, they've got an online instruction video for Color Monte if you bought it from them.

Any packet effect where you can practice the great 'Elmsley Count' would have my reccomendation, so it's-NFW for starts

I got my colour monty from 'some guy' in Nottingham who sells some magic. No chance of a video from him though.
