Yes, It may help to moisten the gloves to get some added grip on the balls. Just get them wet and then wring them out...Good Luck,

I got a 10 minute routine that requires me to wear gloves for the whole thing. That would suck if I had to wear wet gloves the whole time. But if that's the only way to do it effectively........

I've used wet gloves for card manipulations and it does work.... just might for balls, too.

What type of balls are you using?

Fakini's would work fine with gloves, of course the colour would have to contrast with the gloves.

Another tip is to have the gloves as close fitting as possible, less room for the fingers in the gloves to move around. A tight fit could mean you wouldn't need to moisten them.

Hope this helps.

If you make glitter balls it would work for sure. I perform it all the time that way.

Glitter balls.. that's not a bad idea. That would definitely work. I might try to get my hands on some Fakini's as well and try those out. I will be wearing tight fitting gloves so that might be ok. I just would prefer to not work with wet gloves on if I can avoid it.

I know most guys used kid leather gloves. They are very soft and flexible.

Vernet balls would probably work with gloves. The sharp peaks on the surface would hold the glove fabric pretty securely. The gloves would probably make them more comfortable to work with as well. I used to use red wood balls with white cotton gloves but stuck to a smaller ball so I could control them better.

Yes, I have worked on doing billiard balls with gloves on and then having a black light on the fllor angled upwards. This casts a glow on the gloves as well as the balls. When the balls change colors it becomes much more visual and almsot appears to be a manipulation of pure light.

It does take practice to find gloves that still give you the feel for the balls. I have found cotton gloves and my Fakinis work quite well for this with a little bit of practice on my part.

Adding the gloves in can now make for very interesting transition effects. For example a ball could change color in mind air and when it comes down, the glove has changed colors as well.

Experimenting with various gloves, will also help you find the right rouch.

The blacklight and glove change are excellent ideas. I had thought of a glove color change as well but not at that point, that's great. Thanks for the responses.

You are most welcome. I always keep a notebook filled with creative ideas and such. This is part of my creative process to train my brain to always think on the creative side. I have enever actually done this yet, but I have practiced the moves with the gloves on and they seem to work fine with the Fakinis. The blacklight would just add a different demension and coloring changing the gloves to the ball would be a very different level you could take the balls with. The gloves change and the balls change as well. A ball tossed up that hits the hand melts and turns into that colored silk. The transitions could be quite stunning.
