I've been waiting on a review for this for a LONG time now. Seems either nobody has it or is willing to give it a review

Hi,
I have this DVD and really enjoyed it. There are some revamped classic stuff and also a few new things. I haven't got time to write a review but I would recommend it. The things that really stood out were a mismade bill routine and an effect with a hand drawn set of cards. There are loads of effects on the DVD and would say even if you don't use anything that it has plenty of entertainment value. Oh... the signed card under and in the box is excellant too. Tel |

So can anyone give either an official or unoffical review of this dvd? i.e. the effects, difficulty of effect, wow factor, etc, etc?

Personally, I would keep this DVD to myself and not tell too many people about it.

Yes I too would like to keep this DVD for myself. I guess the reason no one is giving a list of each effect is that you can find a general description on most magic sites that carry this DVD...For Example:
Ink, Inc.: A complete deck of custom, hand drawn playing cards visually prints right in front of your spectator's unbelieving eyes. You'll never slip these into a poker game. Your audience will think you have mini ink-jets hidden in your finger tips! George of the Jumble: A torn and restored mismade-ish bill ( with the torn edges restored on the outside), that will leave your spectator with a souvenir that would have the Riddler scratching his head. Thomato: A real cherry tomato is smashed flat between your hands, and ends up with a facial expression almost as surprising as your audience's! Psycho: A card is selected by a spectator, shuffled into the deck by the spectator, and found by the SPECTATOR! You've heard all this before, but wait....Come back. This one actually looks as good as it sounds. P.S. It's been my pet "magician fooler." Simply Three: An in-the-hands 3-Card monte that resets immediately, uses regular cards, and has a killer ending. This is the 3-Card Monte you'll actually use. Metropolis will never be the same again! There are even more items on the DVD than listed above. The DVD quality if very nice and the effects are wonderful real world type magic. These are tricks that you can actually take out into the real work world and make a living with. Heck there are even 2-3 tricks on there that will fool most magicians. This is a GREAT DVD...get it...you will more than likely like it... I do magic full time...I see a lot of magic...I even review a lot of magic...I HIGHLY recommend this DVD! Cody S. Fisher MUM Magazine

I'm still sitting on the fence with this one. Being a hobbyist and everyone being so tight-lipped about it, I don't know which way to go

Cody's recomendation is good enough for me. Very well written...and, from a professional's point of view.
Cody, on a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the overall difficulty level for the effects on this DVD? I'm not looking for individual difficulty ratings...just a cumulative rating for the DVD. OH! One other thing. Are the props necessary for doing these effects reltively easily and inexpensively acquired or will I have to float a bank loan to assemble the necessary props and equipment? In other words, I am not looking for effects that are variations of commercial magic items that will now require buying lots of commercial magic items in order to do the effects onthis DVD. Thanks in advance for the info. Mike

Hope you don mind me butting in here anyway, I would rate the DVD to be a 7.5/10 cos I am quite picky with the dvds I order. The stuff in there are fairly easy to be done. requiring only a few sliehgts here and there. so I would say difficulty is 5.5/10 or so. Consists of mainly coins and cards, well and tomatos for one trick. In addition, all the gimmicks used can be made at a low cost (Actually, not much gimmicks are used. All regular cards and coins and little or close to no set up required). Only thing might be flash paper which I guess you have to buy. For one of the effects, Ink, Inc, be prepared to 'draw' your own deck LOL. Ink Inc might be the only one whiich requires the most preparation due to the drawing phase I would say the magic in this DVD is direct, visual and right to the point. There is presentation, but its not effects that drags for mins etc. Works best for me in pubs where people want something visual. hope this helps cheerios
