In two months I'll be performing for a group, adults and children, celebrating Passover. I wanted to do a mentlalism type trick using 10 homemade jumbo cards each depicting one of the 10 plagues. Climaxing with the frog card as the prediction card and an appearance of several rubber frogs or something similar. Doesn't have to be a mentalism concept, any ideas on how to present this or any other Passover related tricks would be appreciated?

You might want to think Mccombical (sic) deck where you get a bit of mentalism and a bit of comedy. The spectator sees all different ones but the audience sees ie. all locust. When the spectator shows the frog one you have a magician in trouble moment.

Of course you could also do the old gag of shuffling cards in different ways.

One to highlight is when the cards "pass over each other"

Also, there is a multi card effect (that can be duplicated using your custom made cards of the plagues) that I forget the name of, and and will get a name when I get home.

But the effect is that the cards are all placed face down, and one card after another is chosen, a loaf of bread, a bible, a candelabra, money etc, until the last card drawn is a picture of Jesus. As I recall, it asks what is the most important thing, and as I said, I think you could easily adapt this. Doc Haley's sells the effect.

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.
