I wonder if anyone can help.
I have aquired two original Jack Hughes magical items that I was going to sell locally, until a dealer friend advised me that they were collectables. One is a version of Ataboy which is made in the shape of a castle tower and has the Jack Hughes sticker on the back and the other is Jack's "Fantastic Figures Of Fu" a mental effect. I just wondered if anybody had any information on the possible value/collectability of these items or if someone can point me in the right direction. I already tried Derek Lever but he was no help. Thanks Scott |

Hiya Scott.
That is strange about Derek as I have found him to be quite helpful. I don't know about the Ataboy but on the "Figures of Fu" I do know that it is not that collectable... I believe one sold on ebay for around $60 or so, not much more. When I say "not that collectable" I mean in terms of what you could sell it for... but of course the Hughes items are no longer made... making them all collectable. If you are looking to sell the Ataboy let me know... and no, this is not an attempt to try to tell you that the Ataboy is not worth a lot so I can scam it from you for a low price... I really don't have any idea, but I do like Hughes items. Hope this has helped. Mitch

I've got a Jack Hughes Coin Ladder in my collection. I'll e-mail pics to anyone who'd like to see it. So far, I've not seen another like it.

I hate to tell you - I was going to try and "Low-ball" you - but you can start the bidding at $300-350 and probably have no problem selling them - I'll give you 300 dollars.
