I am not sure but I have seen him live many times and I Have video footage from various shows he was in. However, most were just from his original stage contest act. I do not have any footage of his actual show.
His show was one of the best I have seen in a long long while. He is so very creative with every routine he does. An amazingly talented performer. Kyle

I agree. His wackadack character is really great, and his card stuff is also very original.

He does an entire routine that is basically SOUND manipulation. It is hard to imagine but man does it not only work, but it is cool and funny and really works the house the right way.
He also does a number of him inside his old house in his bedroom as a kid. Vaery creative indeed. I wish I had a copyof that show. Kyle

He uses a mixture of songs that are combined together for various parts of his act. It is good music to listen to, but I would refrain from using the music of another performer.

I don't want to use it, I just thought the song was catchy. I'm thinking of the one that had lyrics in it. It went for most of the routine.

That song is now being used in a very popular TV Commerical. I heard it the other day when sitting in a different room and ran to the TV thinking Topas was on! It wasn't him just some commerical for old nick at night TV shows I think. : )

Got a helpful PM, it's called Hello Again by The Cars. I thought about it because someone on my dorm hall was playing it the other day, but I didn't know who!

You can also get great music by checking out the new age, techno or even jazz areas of your CD store. Look for the best of albumns or compiliation cds. At some stores, you can listen to the cd's before buying them. This gives you a great way to try out new songs and sounds you like.

Yes, Zombie is correct. Just keep in mind that that is a very edited version of his stage act.

His act is what got me into magic. I e-mailed him since someone mentioned that he had a set of lecture notes, but after a month of no replies, I gave up. Maybe I sent it to the wrong address, who knows? But MAN! How I would love to get my hand on a copy of those notes.

Look Here!
You will get the Lecture in German. But you can ask Harold Voit (the owner of "Zauberzentrale") if it is also available in Englisch. Good luck, Johannes Germany |

When I lived in Germany my buddy and I went to a magic program. There was something like 15 acts that night. This was before 'The World's greatest magic'.
I have to say that 90% of the acts were nothing more then someone or a couple doing an illusion. Which is fine if you are into pushing boxes around on stage. Then this young man came on stage and did his act. WOW! What an ACT. This was the first time that I seen Topas. It was a fresh breath of air seeing his act among the box pushers. Topas and a comedy magician were the best that night. When it came for Curtin call each performer stepped forward to receive there applauds. Topas received the loudest applauds and the only one to receive a standing ovation. There was one illusion that I have never seen before or since that night. There was a wall with a picture or two on it. There was also a hat, cane and a tux hanging on the wall. I do not mean like hanging on a cloths hanger, but plaster against the wall. Much like a painting or work of art. Finally one of the sleeves began to fill up with a shape. Then the other empty sleeve began to fill up. The white gloves at the end of the sleeves took shape also. These arms of the coat moved and one of the arms reached and removed the top hat from the wall and waved it in front of the hanging tux. BAM! There was the magician standing there in front of the white wall. Dress in the tux that was nowhere to be found on the wall. Ray |
