EXCELLENT. That is exactly the kind of creative thinking we all need to do more. Think outside the box and know that thimbles moves are just that, moves that can be applied to a variety of different objects if you allow your mind to think up creative ideas to tell an entertaining story to your audience.

You can try check out McBride's World Class Manipulations. It's got thimble manipulations there and a whole lot of ball and coin manipulation. Or you could try automatic thimbles from

Hey, speaking of automatic thimbles, has anyone ever had this product or gimmick?

There is a beautiful thimble routine by Gary Darwin it is performed to the music of the Pink Panther. Its an underground video so you might have a hard time finding it.You could also go to Boomers in Vegas on Wednesdays and talk to Gary yourself he might still have some of his old videos.

Shan. The late Viggo Jahn used to re,ove the white knob off his cane for manips. It (eventually) and after rweturning to his cane several times, multiplied until there were white knobs on all his fingers. Why not remove the white tip off your wand and manipulate & multiply that? At least everyone would know what it was. No disrespect to thimbles, which I love and often manipulated as a youngster. There is a knob to cane repeat idea in (the Dutch magician's) Marconik's Original Magic Book 6. It covers 13 pages of text & loads of illustrations. The book is still available , in UK from Magic Books By Post, Bristol. at £5:60pence. Youmust translate this in $s. Something like $3 to $4 .
