Dear sirs, I am new to the site, but cant seem to sign in,i made 1 post, then changed my password, however it then wouldnt let me sign i, so I clicked forgot password, got sent a new one and still cant get in

First of all, you need to have cookies enabled for the Café to log you in. Assuming that's not an issue, when you click the lost password link, your password doesn't actually change until you click the link in the email. When you fill out the form, your password isn't changed right then and there, it is only changed when the link in the email is clicked. The reason for that is so nobody can keep changing passwords for other people. So, click the lost password link, get the email, note the password, click the link in the email, then attempt to log in.

I cant even sign in with my current password though, I can type it in, and all that happens is the page refreshes

It sounds like a cookie issue to me. The Café needs to be able to set a cookie to keep you logged in. Check/change your cookie settings and see if that helps.
