Hi Justin,
what I suggest is that you try it ou a few times untill you get it to fall at the time you desire (don't forget you do need to hold it in the setting position for a few seconds before hand) everytime it falls, look at the writing on the barrel so that you can see where it was balanced. Once you are happy that it goes from that point well enough, you can mark it with another sharpie inthe position so you can do it everytime. I have scored into mine with a knife. this way I feel the groove, and can line that up to the table edge without even looking. Try the above, and please feel free to contact me with any further questions In Magic Steve Dela |

Just a clarification. It was actually Colin Mcleod, not I who discovered the plastic cups falling over when a PK pen or PK sharpie falls and he was kind enough to share the idea with me.
Colin is a great thinker and as so often happens when you mention someone elses idea even if you give them credit, people only rememeber where they heard it.

Cheers for the clarification Banachek.
Funnily enough I used to speak to Colin a lot and he is a mate of my business partner so I am surprized neither of them picked up on it. Best wishes Steve Dela |

It is made in a regular Sharpie marker and is recognisable as an everyday object much like Banacheks original PK Pen.

Gentleman, we still do not have silver sharpies here in the U.S. Is is possible that you would consider custom making a few in the classic gray color?
I would be happy to ship them to the U.K. Cinemagician

200 of these have been made for the American Market, I believe Scott Wells Still has a stock of them.
The quality of the actual sharpie is not as good as manufacturing methods where changed for the new silver barrell. Best wishes Steve Dela |

Has anyone used a PK Sharpie in such a way as to set it in the proper position but to cause it to remain there for longer than several minutes until you are ready to do the PK with the pen? In orher words, the pen is set on a cup or table edge and stays there until the performer "triggers" the action. I would prefer to find a way to do this in presentation rather than using any modifications or electronics. I love the effect but would like the spectators to see the sharpie sitting idle in the "same" postion until I want to call attention to it.
I would also be interested in 're-inking' techniques if that is even possible. |

Unfortunatly for the method used in the PK sharpie it is not possible to have it lying flat for minutes before it can fall.
For this I would have to reccomend the PSI Sharpie. Steve Dela |

Anyone know if it's the Wizard FX PK Sharpie that is being discussed here?
If so, it's only $9, so I'm interested in it if it's the one everyone liked. I wouldn't use a ring, but a PK Blista to animate it ( just a little bit ). |

Thank-you for your comment Zombie M.
I have had wonderful success offering a guest a 'choice' of different pens: Sharpie; Bic [black, red, or blue]. [you can even give a quick color reading ...based on the choice]. This 'choice scenario' also eliminates any thoughts of .....'trick pen'. Happy trails. Rich |
