My friend works for a 1500 seat theatre in WA state. Jeff McBride came through a few months ago, and the show did well. She has asked me for suggestions on large-scale stage shows that they could book. I'm curious what some of the folks here would suggest. Feel free to post here or PM me. Thanks!

I'd say try the Spencers, or the Majestix, or the Pendragons. They are all very good, and from what I know, are easily available for booking, and they are very experienced and pretty well known.
Or, if you'd like a show that has nothing to do with magic, I can put you in touch with the company I work for for a Broadway tour. --Jack |

The Spencers are AMAZING! I got called up on stage two weeks ago when they performed here. The show was one of the best I've seen. Two thumbs up! Here is a link for them: http://www.spencersmagic.com/

Although all those are good I'd have to say go with the Majestix, Kalin and Ginger, or Murray Hatfield and Teresa. Murray's one of the big boys and puts on an incredible show and since you're in Washington state I'm sure he's touring around there and could work something out since he's from Calgary too. I just got off tour with Murray and Teresa and they will not let you down, both their talking/audience interaction and silent illusions are strong and entertaining.

I second Dan's recommendation of Murray Hatfield and Teresa. They performed at the I.B.M. Convention last year and I was really impressed with them.

Murry Hatfield is good as is the Spencers. Also Jay Owenhouse is out that way also.

They can get anyone they want, but the main consideration is their budget. It is surprising that so many want so much for so little. They had McBride, so they do have an idea of the dollar range of a primo performer.
Another consideration is that some places have the money but have a really bad stage for big illusions. (Too small, bad angles, extreme rake, lack of wings, etc.) I just experienced this with a casino venue. Glad I had a thorough contract to cover this aspect. These are just a couple of things to consider when they do book. If I had the bucks and the proper stage I would go with the Pendragons. One of my favorites, even though they did the notorious Houdini Museum opening last year.
Wonder is very necessary in life. When we're little kids, we're filled with wonder for the world - it's fascinating and miraculous. A lot of people lose that. They become cynical and jaded, especially in modern day society. Magic renews that wonder.
