I saw a magician perform this but at the end he done a twist that shacked me. He made both the rubber bands dissapear one up his nose and one in his fingers. But when he went and performed the next trick I saw the rubberband around his wrists. Can ayone please tell me where I could find this cool ending?
Thanks, Lukas

I believe there was something like that in the second elastrix book, although I lost my copy so I can't confirm that...

Was it me you saw do that because I do quite often in walk around. The vanish of the first rubber band I learned from mike powers but I'm not sure if it's his original trick or not. The routine he did had to do with cloning the rubber bands.
The rubber band up the nose I learn from the Amazing Jonathan when I meet him back stage after a show. I'm not sure if this is John's original trick either but that's who I learned it from. Ron Jaxon |

After "escaping" from the crazy mans handcuffs is there a way to "lock" them back together as an effect?

The rubberband up the nose was invented by me. and first appeared in Dan Harlens video. on my new dvd that L&L will be releasing I go over it with additional tips.
Joe Rindfleisch as far as vanishing the first rubber band you can do it numerous ways. but it sounds like the Two is One crazymans handcuff postions. Joe

Slydini's rubber band routine has a link and unlink (ie crazy mans handcuffs), this is available in booklet form. Elastrix 1&2 will have a relink of the bands I am sure and also on the Harlan dvds. There are a few methods for doing it.

I did CMH for a woman once who laughed at me and said. I am a knitter and that move is called droping a stich.

Dan Harlan has a relinking of the bands which can be modified a little to approximate the same movements as the unlinking.

Look at dan harlens tapes for putting the bands back together. Its merely a reversal

I knew there must be a good reason why I have never seen this trick.

The vanishing of rubber band sounds like the "Incredible Shrinking Rubber Band" Effect in Bandshark...am I right actually?

There is an effect on Dan Harlan's Rubberband Magic Vol.3 to make a band go "up the nose" and anothe vanish if I remember correctly.
