I've seen two people now(someone on this forum and Michael Close in his Magic Magazine review) mention that this DVD featured Manuel Muerte's FISM act. I've watched this DVD a thousand times over and have never seen it. Well I have seen his act live and do have his solo DVD Done by Misdirection so it's not like this is killing me. But now I'm wondering if it is on The Movie? Are people just referring to the snippets of it? Or is it on here somewhere hidden?

As far as I know, it's not on the dvd. Unless "The cap, the coin, and the marker" or "grandpa's cigar box" were used in his FISM act...

Sorry, they aren't under the bonus section, they are listed from the main root menu, I'm surprised you didn't spot it.

Interestingly enough my DVD doesn't have it. I'm staring at the screen right now. The Mona Lisa is in The Mice Act's place, and is seperate from Sympathetic Tens.

I wonder if maybe the older ones don't have it. One more question, can you describe the setting, is it the same as the other acts (as in their Munich Show I believe?) or is in a completely different area? I'm thinking it might be off Done by Misdirection and they decided to add it.

I think its the same setting where the appearing glass of orange juice trick is performed... black background and a dark red table cloth.

I got my copy christmas 2003 I think. I didn't know they changed the contents. All the fism acts are good, but I'm not sure whether there is anyway to tell what version it is without taking off the wrapping and playing it in a dvd player, something most magicshops wont like.

That's strange, I got mine after you. Around Feb, well I'm a fan, and crazy enough to buy it again so I'm gonna shoot them an email and see if there' a way to for sure get a copy with the act.

I only wish you hadn't posted up those screen shots of his act being there, it's making me sad.

Got Nick. You're from England.

I emailed Pit Hartling and was kind enough to get back to me right away. Manuel's act is only on the Pal version.

Wow! I just received this DVD today and just finished watching it. It is easily the most enjoyable magic DVD/Video I've seen. Not only great magic but entertaining throughout. Now I hope they make "The Movie Two".

I'm think about getting this DVD. I'm just wondering if it is worth it just for the Cups & Balls routine + fruit cups move?

Thanks,

Steven.

Depends, is 65 dollars worth it for one move to you?

I personally say that this is the single best dvd I've ever bought. I always say it's worth it. I'll even say just the fruit cups move is worth it, even though that wasn't the best part of the dvd for me. The dvd as a whole was what made it so great. Pure entertainment, great magic, wonderful ideas.

Really does sound good. And I know I'll love watching the FISM performances. I've never actually seen a magician live. There was one in Dublin once but by the time I found out it was too late. So on DVD is the only place I can see a professional magician performing. I'll have to think about it a bit more but I think I just might get it.

This DVD is one of my all-time favorites. As was Done by Misdirection. The Flicking Fingers and Muerte's work are nothing shy of supurb. I've tried getting in contact with Manuel several months ago about any upcoming material he will be releasing, and any info on The Flicking Fingers. I have yet to hear back from him. Does anyone have any known good contact information for him?

Sincerely,
Wayne Stevenson
