There are several effects I would consider:
- invisble deck - Svengali deck (with card in wallet for final - think about it, its so easy!) - an ACR |

Greg Wilsons Weighted Ace's in the preformers hand.
Quick and easy to follow ... well kinda (you know what I mean). Its clean all the way, and I like this over the monte because "most" laymen have seen or know something simalar to the monte. Its cool too, when you ask someone if they have a deck of cards on them and you can use it to preform for them. Why I think these might be bad. Svengali Deck: Spec. cant handle deck. Invisible Deck: Spec. cant handle deck Just me 2 cents.. -G- |

Doc daley last trick, twisting the aces, followed by vernons variant.
I love this because you start out showing them packet routines then hand them the cards and have them follow along, and the audience loves it because they think your going to explain how its done, but you just end up frying them over and over again:) |

I think too many laymen know the Svengali deck, you'd have to present it differently to the typical routine.
I'd have to add another vote for 2 card monte. |

RE: 2 card monte
What happens if you don't have the two "special cards" with you?

Yea, me either man. I think you're thinking of the "Three Card Monte" there Dave. That is also a great trick. But, I would rather do the 2 card monte.

Gary, weapon, Damien, and others:
"Two-Card Monte" is a trick involving two gaffed cards, a double face and a double back. It was invented by Deland over half a century ago. I think you guys are confusing Eddie Fechter's "Be Honest, What is It?" (which is the trick that David Blaine did on television: "This is one I like to do for those three-card monte guys...") with the name of this old trick using gaffed cards called "Two-Card Monte." This is a very common mistake of beginning magicians on this board. There are many threads discussing this matter, and hopefully one of them will be made a sticky at the top of this forum section. Just do a search for Eddie Fechter's "Be Honest" and you will find the information you need. |
