I had the opportunity to meet these guys about 4 years ago and they were doing some impressive stuff then, but I saw them again a couple of months ago in Las Vegas at the Seminar. They are doing some pretty awesome stuff.

The Bucks have enormous skill and inventing skills. Until I bought their System I never would have gotten into flourishing. HL is a different type of manipulation. I like their work because you can actually use it in a performance with more than just cuts.I haven't seen them in person, but hopefully I will.

The bucks are really good, I enjoy their cuts more than De'vos fan balances on finger and nose and unmentionable places and stuff.
I've shown vids to some people too and like 80% of the ones ive shown the stuff to liked the D&D videos better. Personal opinion though, as well as some others.

With most of the people I show card manipulations to, they enjoy seeing a variety of things rather than just 1 specific category. I do agree that some of the bucks stuff looks cool, But I would never only show cuts to people, rather I like to show them more variety, and most of the people I perform for seem to agree. The Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes is the currently the best resource by far of everything Ive seen when it comes to card Manipulation "performances" with variety. SuperHandz has more of very creative moves out there.

Okay. let me explain: they're not better than each other in the skill sense, just DIFFERENT. You can't deny that. And whoever you like IS whoever you like, regardless of your opinion.
I choose to prefer the Buck's because of their more humane level, in that they DO show their faces, talk on a humble level, and a really nice guys in general. But I do use a lot of De'vo's stuff to perform ALONG with the Bucks' equally-as kick butt material. Hope this clears stuff up? -Kev |

De'vos fan balances on finger and nose and unmentionable places Oh my god... hahahaha. That would fall into the 3% category. Such horrible images >.<

Not to take anything away from De'vo because he's obviously unbelievable with cards but I also prefer D&D style.

Like De'vo always says, there 2 different styles, one is small spins and twists you intertwine into your routines, one is supposed to be used as an entire show... suuuuuuuure. I like the bucks material more the De'vo's material (even though I like them both pretty well) only because flourishes are practical to use in routines, while heaven displays and balancing aren't supposed to be. I have nothing wrong with people who praise XCM, I am a fanatic when it comes to card magic and flourishes, I just don't like people who praise De'vo and kiss his feet.
(don't want to fight) Everyone's opinion is cool!

Just when I thought this forum got peaceful for a while, I come in and hear more ... xcm/flourishing discrimination. *sigh*
Since many of you are intermediate and above card handlers, I'm sure the style you chose ain't gonnna change and I respect that. I'm a superhandz follower, but I know for a fact that some people can't apply every move in CTG in their performances ~ and that's cool, it's personal preference. And some people find D&D boring, but others find fast cuts fun to do ~ and that's cool too. Others adapt from both kinds like an inter-racial marriage, and that's fine by me. I personally believe you can say anything about anyone in your respective forums but in a magic site, couldn't we at least live civilised and cut out the quarrels/bashings/sarcasm/little hissy fits?
