Invisible Cards/Crazy Cards...
I tried to see if they've already been mentioned, but....

I got mine at Linens and Things, I know a girl who got hers at Spencer's Gags and gifts.... (and they have http://www.kikkerland.com on the box)

Neat-o stuff, I think they'd look very cool in a card trick that emphasizes they're see through-ness, anyone have any ideas?

*gasp* Was I the first to mention these cards?!?

I'm sorry, that should have been, "...their see through-ness" in the first part...

I've always thought they'd be good for teaching videos.

I've seen them lots.

I use them in the shower. You can never get enough practice... Otherwise I don't use them because they don't handle like a real deck.

I played around with those once. I would have to agree with Ace of Clubs, they don't really handle correctly. They felt a little thick to me and the texture doesn't lend itself to steals and palms.

Oh.... I see. Are there any tricks that would be good for them? They look so cool...

Now that's the way to shower!

Palms.... Are there books devoted specifically to palming

Marlo's Revolutionary Card Technique is a great book. So are the Card College volumes.

Just to let everyone know, the gadget shop (UK) sells them and because they are going bust, they are in sale.

I wonder if you can use those markers that come off with water on them. I forget the name. It be kind of cool to have that kind of signed card effect.

It would be pretty frustrating to attempt card warp with these. Nor could you effectively use crimps. A signed card effect would be rather pointless as you could see through the deck to where the signed card lies.

There would be many limits to using a deck like this.

Practice, sure, but actual useage- no, they look too strange and bizzare.

Not exactly... I bought a few decks as Christmas gifts one or two Christmases ago. I found them at Bed, Bath and Beyond and many places since then. They're fun to play with but not too practical for magic use. Reversed cards don't work, DL's are difficult. Fans are near impossible. They're just too difficult to handle for most sleights.

What we need now is some enterprising young magician to come up with a killer routine using these cards. Any takers? Maybe you can come up with the next Holy Grail of OOTW presentations. Smile

Dave,

I have several of these babies. Some of the designs allow us to do reverse card effects. The down side is the fanning dept.

Rannie,
The ones I found did not. The reversed card index showed through the card above it.

There are so many thing we could do with this deck. The possibilities for packet effects seem endless if you think about it. I have been working on a Matrix effect using these cards. Im done with the 1st and 2nd phase. ( I will share it with some friends here , upon complition).

I hardly do the snap change because I feel this great move has been too exposed. However , using these cards, it sort of breathes new life to it! Its great for the ACR.

Have fun!

It'd be great if U.S. Playing Card Company made some plastic bicycles.

I totally agree with rannie, its almost like doing cups and balls with clear plastic cups. Also, it is always a plus being able to practice card skills in the bath :-D
