Two of my favorite tricks are from Sankey.
Killer Key is very easy to perform. It only takes a few seconds to do, so I've gotten more mileage out of it than any other trick I do. I can walk up to anyone and do this trick. Even though it's so easy and simple, I've gotten some of my strongest reactions from this trick because you're right next to your spectator, and they see the nickel going into your hand, yet you open your hand, and there is the key. They gasp. Yes/No is on the Three Ring Circus DVD. It, like Killer Key, is very simple and quick, yet very powerful. The effect here is that the spectator is allowed to pick any card as you go through the deck. You take it out, and somewhat puzzled, you say that it was odd that they picked that card because you just happened to write something on the back of that card, the word "Yes." You proceed to show that all the other cards also have something written on the back, the word "No." This never fails to astonish. I've only been doing magic for a few months, and I'm definitely going to continue to add more Sankey effects to my repetoir. I think my next purchase will be paperclipped because I've heard so much about it. |

Hi folks, help me out here: the messiah vanish and back in time - I don't remember the effect. Maybe I have seen it, maybe I haven't. Help me out? Thanks.
If you are going to Puerto Vallarta on your acations, let me know and write me a PM. I am interested in meeting magicians.

Messiah vanish can be found on his revolutionary coin trick as well as other dvds.its a single coin vanish where you put a coin into the other hand and it vanishes..show both hands empty..back in time is my favourite sankey card trick..i found it in the very best of sankey vol 2 I think..not so sure but..its a trick where the laymen picks a card and put it back..magician does the up down shuffle(i think you call it the sloppy shuffle)he hands the spectator an indifferent card, then he makes all the cards back in order and the card the spectator is holding changes to the selected card..difficult to explain but try your best to watch sankey perform it!its very powerfull!

I think Hole Mole is the best one .. get's the best reactions. Killer Key is ok .. but I have stopped doing that one. I used to do paper clipped but found much stronger reactions using Mystery Box II.

Paperclipped is one of those effects where I used to think "how could something like this impress people", until I actually performed it and received many shocking reactions. Airtight is a great commercial effect, but its not real practical for most situations.

Well I don't like 3 ring circus
I also got the 22 blows / Boris Pocus by Jay Sankey and I love them a lot . In the DVD of 3 ring circus of course there are some good tricks like yes or no / another version of "out of this world" ,but I don't like that ring routine ,the trick itself is ok but just not my style . |

Sure, Sankey repeats a lot of material, but often you get additional hint for performing the effect, so it doesn't realy bother me that much.
I like his energy and the fact that he sort of "removes" the traditional distance between magician (in fancy clothes and hat) and spectator, which imo is a good thing. I'm currently working on his "No Jacket Required". |

I love Jay Sankey's coin magic - but less thrilled with his weird (and at times, offensive) humor. Its his coin work from Revolutionary Coin magic that motivated me to focus on coins. My favorites that open up a slew of possibilities are: thin air production, Flying shuttle pass, Messiah Vanish, Push Button and Ups and Downs to name a few. -Dan

Three ring circus is a great routine, but Yes & No is also killer.
For those who believe, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not, none will suffice.

At one time I actually ripped off Jay because of his blasphemy-but he does have some creative ideas.I think his Messiah Vanish is very good.No Jacket Required and Back in Time aren't bad either.
