Worms World, Party Down, Excellent. Worms are used as "bait" How about Baity Boop? Baity Davis? I'll think better after some sleep. |

The other reason to like the name "Dewey" is that it hints at where the worm is found in the grass as well as the library connection...i like it

Hey Folks,
There was another thread started which, within the thread, a person mentioned sticking/squeeking problems with his Wacky Worm. So, I pulled out a "rejected" Worm, tried a Bar Soap lubrication method and it works great! Use a bar of DRY soap. Do not use a wet gooey bar. You will need to remove the Worm by unscrewing the Bolt. After removing the Worm, apply the soap by rubbing back and forth along the edges and rounded corners of the squared section. Set the apparatus FACE UP. Slide the worm back into the channel and slide up and down BE CAREFUL not to scuff the graphics. Remove the Worm and place one more light coat of Soap along the edges. Re-Install the Worm being careful not to strip the threads. Let the Bolt find the threads and screw in just deep enough so it does NOT protrude out the backside. This should take less than a few minutes. Steve Thomas recommended possibly using Parafin/Candle Wax. I have not tried this yet but it sounds good as well. Your choice. I apologize for the small problem and I will now PRE-LUBRICATE all the Wacky Worms as well as add this tip into the instructions. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any further questions or problems. We are not perfect but sure try our best Thanks for the support, Chance Wolf's Magic/Wacky Wolf Productions (509) 967-0832 Office (509) 947-1132 Shop http://www.wolfsmagic.com

Okay... I have received this week from Wolf is the Wacky Worm, Balloon Buster and Fun House... (Do The Math) Yes I am now a starving magician with plenty of way cool props... Will work for food <grin>...
The craftsmanship is obvious, these are not like any other props I own and they will be the beginning, middle and Grand Finaleeee of any show I do. Everything I have read about these items are true and have not been exagerated. Now with that said.... There are issues with the lever on the fun house. I have communicated this to chance and he has offered to alter this and fix it. I don't want to hassle with sending my fun house back across country for the fix. With the cost of this item I feel this should have been addressed and altered before shipment. Chance knew this was an issue. The Balloon wand comes with instructions to do a classic slip force and instructs you to go to wolfs web site for detailed description. I cannot find this info anywhere on his site. Please somebody tell me what a Classic slip force is... email me @ sspanks@alltel.net These are beautiful items and I hope to have a lot of fun with them. It is my job to make children laugh and smile... I believe these props will help me achieve that goal. Thank you, _stephen spanks I Don't Wanna Grow Up Magic |

I didn't know Wolf Magic made a Balloon Buster. Are you holding out on me Chance? I have quite the Wolf collection and I am adding to it tomorrow. I gotta get me an Outhouse before they are all gone. Only 3 left and I get 1 so only 2 more lucky people can have that limited edition prop. I envision getting the Old Storyteller from Axtell to tell the story about my grandfather, since he knew him best. I will work the prop with one hand, and the old fart with the other. I always find a new presentation with each Wolf prop and I believe the Outhouse will be no less entertaining as all my other Wolf Props. Congratualtions Stephan on your newly aquired show pieces. I've looked at my Funhouse and the lever works beautifully everytime. I'm sure Chance will take care of it but could you PM me and let me know what difficulty you are having?

I'm thinking that Chance's creations will be among the next classics in Magic. Very innovative! I might be a little biased...but it's a thought.

After reading all the excellent reviews on Chance's Wacky Worm, I just placed an order this evening. I have never purchased his magic before, but I'm confident that my audiences and myself are going to have a lot of fun with The Wacky Worm. I also want to say thanks Chance for creating / building a high quality and affordable piece of magic/comedy art.

I want to give Wolf Magic and Chance 5 stars for customer service. I recently purchased three Items from Wolf Magic and had a problem with the wand on his Jumbo Balloon wand ( I broke it ) He has responded to all my emails and has promised to fixed the problem ( although it was of no fault of his ).
I am looking forward to using the Wacky Worm, Fun House and Jumbo Balloon Wand in my future shows. I want to thank Chance for his response... he has a customer for life. I am looking forward to what he comes up with in the near future. -stephen Never Grow Up magic |

So has anyone performed with the Wacky Worm yet and if so what has been the responses. I got mine and am noticing it is very noisy. Chance you might look to putting some felt in the bottom to keep the noise down when the worm goes back down behind the book. Mine just makes a lot of noise when the worm goes up and when it goes back down. Just very noisy. To much noise to use it right now unless I figure a way to drown out the noise. I can say the graphics are great but feel this item is overpriced for what you actually get. Is this made of thin plywood? What is this manufactured out of?

Magicbyswh,
I am not quite sure what you mean by "noisy"? Have you tried the lubrication satsted above? There is the typical friction of objects sliding which will make a noise. That is unavoidable. If it CLUNKS as you bring the worm down, then simply let him down slower. I used mine in LIVE Demos all weekend at Kramiens Jamboree and everybody loved the effect. A prop can make some sounds sometimes and be effective as I can think of a TON of magic that has sounds when operated. I could have made it dead quite with bearing tracks and a bunch of overengineered mechanics but then the price would be too high. This is a simple to operate Childrens Prop to Entertain more than Mystify. If you feel it does not work for you and is "not worth the money" then feel free to return it in ORIGINAL Condition and I will refund your money. I have to disagree that this is "overpriced". If you are looking for Mak magic prices, I cannot give that to you as our products are very expensive to make and are priced for us to attempt to make a living. The material used is NOT wood/cheap Masonite as used with a typical Mak Magic prop. Our materail costs literally 5 TIMES the amount of wood/masonite and will outlast it by MANY years as well as has better properties than wood. This as well as clever engineering, HIGH Quality, 25 years of cartooning and design and Original new Concepts is what you are paying for. I wish I could give this to you for $75 but that just isn't in the cards. I hope you can understand as I am not getting rich here and am simply trying to create Quality Childrens magic. Feel free to email me with problems before posting in the Café as I am pretty easy to deal with. I have posted earlier a very simple Maintenance tip of using Soap lubrication to quiet the squeeking nouse which happened on a few units. This is not a modification but rather a maintenance procedure that would be expected with any item that is mechanical and involves friction with moving parts. I actually used the tip from an Owen Magic prop which are known for the highest quality pros in magic. So these things can be expected. I just regret not discovering it before we released the effect however it only takes 2 minutes and your off and running. You should only have to do this very little during the life of the prop. 1 complaint out of 50 aint to bad folks Take care and thanks for the input Chance Wolf Wolf's magic

Chance,
thanks again for posting on this...I want to thank you for, once again, standing behind your product and as we read in your post a full refund if a customer of yours isn't satisfied...folks, tell me what magic company or dealer is willing to do this?...not many...my opinion is that most magic is pretty much crap...crap to look at, crap in terms of price versus what you get, and crap because you buy it and its yours or you get what they call the used car guarantee...when the you drive the car drives off the lot and breaks in half....well....you get to keep both halfs!! smartini ps. just in case anyone is wondering...I've never met Chance Wolf and our only relationship is through my magic purchases...I've bought two items from him directly and I've been able to find two other items of his via the Café and Magic Auction...needless to say I'm continually impressed by his integrity, creativity and his just plain "niceness"...dealing with him feels right |

Thanks Smartini. I really appreciate it.
Hey, just for the record, I only used Mak Magic as an example of "Affordable" props and was not trying to slam them. I believe products can speak for themselves and let you form your own opinion, I just hope to believe our quality level is above "Standard" magic and never intended to create magic to be "affordable" as much as a good value for the money from all aspects. oh...plus..our items are MADE IN AMERICA!! I try not to bother competing with slave labor prices. Sorry but it is the truth and sad for those folks any way ya slice it. We hit home runs and we hit fouls now and them but we are ALWAYS here to listen to our customers and help them the best we can. Thanks again, Chance Wolf

I've used this prop for three or four shows now and it really entertains. In each show, the kids want to go "backstage" and see how the worm raises up out of the book. I applied the soap as Chance advised and the noise vanished. It worked better than I expected. It's as silent as a product can be that contains parts that create friction.
As I'm sure you know Chance, some customers will never be satisfied with a product, no matter what the price tag. Customers that can appreciate your work will be customers for life, and there is a lot to appreciate in your work. Ken |
