The Himber Ring video available from Stevens Magic is the tops for what you are looking for. Tell 'em I sent you.

The video you refer to IS the Stevens Magic Video simply titled "The Himber Ring". Truth be told, I thought that Jonathon's routine was the weakest on the video. McComb's routine is the funniest, Ted Lesley has a brilliant bit in his plus his "special" ring really adds to the over all effect and "visual unlinking" by Pete Biro is worth the price of the video.

The only other routine, IMHO, worthy of study with the Himber ring is Harry Anderson's in "WiseGuy", as it contains his thinking behind the whys and wheres of the routine. His psychology and questions to the audience are truly brilliant. Study those two sources and you will know more about the ring routine than you will ever need.

Jerry Mentzer of Magic Methods, has a set of Stage Magic lecture notes that has an excellent routine. If it weren't for those notes, I still wouldn't have figured out how Craig Karges did his routine. One little detail about the routine helps to separate it from the rest of the pack.

I recently purchased the Himber Ring, but I can't seem to get the mechanics down. It doesn't look believeable. Where can I get some advice on the "Moves"..??

I think once the audience knows it's a gaffed ring, the magic is gone
The T&R Project.
A revolutionary take on the Torn & Restored card.
