Hey everyone. I've been really immersing myself in finger ring magic lately. In a few months I am thinking of competing using a ring and string routine. For a finale to any ring and string routine I believe that it's strong to have the ring go to an impossible location. Does anyone have any suggestions for a really strong impossible location after a ring and string routine besides Ring Flite. Thanks

SanCho check out Steve Dusheck's ringer. This effect can be done with short sleeves, and resets instantly and can be repeated over and over...or pm me for my ring on the flying trapeze ending for ring and string

Gary Plant's Ring to Card Box - great gaff, easy to do.

I thought of the perfect (in my opinion) location decades ago, but Weber beat me to it so it's off limits even to me.

Paul Gertner's ring on the center of an Hour Glass cannot be beat. It takes a lot of special equipment but it won him the championship.

At a recent show for about 25 people I used Bloom's Flying Ring with a watchbox. I showed the watchbox locked up and placed it in a small bag. I vanished the ring and reached in the bag to get the watchbox. The spect. opened the box and in it was a leather key holder. I removed the key holder from the box and gave it a shake and there was their ring dangling from a chain. From the favorable audience response I got, I will definitely be using this routine again.

The Ron Wilson book has a routine in which a borrowed ring ends up in a locked box. Rolled up and inserted in the ring is a previously vanished marked bill.
Extremely clever method (though suitable only for a reasonably large group, not just a few friends). The Ron Wilson book (which contains Confabulous and other gems) is a really underrated book in my view, or at least under-mentioned. Jerry |

Awesome suggestions, thanks to everyone, I'll look into them all.
wmhegbli- where can I find the props or blueprint for the ring on hourglass? Larry- What was this idea that Weber (Ken?) beat you to? Thanks again to everyone. SanCho |

There is "Ring to Loaded Mouse Trap" on the market. It has to come to your pocket, but it really is loaded onto a set mousetrap, very entertaining and impossible once they realize that if you set it there it would have gone off.

Dusheck's Ringer is great!
I also like Jim Ryan's "Ring, Rope and Rod". It can be performed with a string. |
