They are way too expensive.Forte does not teach anything.Plus they are on VHS.I'd wait for the dvd if I were you.
Instead pick up this- http://www.magiccty.com/video/a/cheat2.html Or more importantly this- http://www.expertmagic.com/html/store/ca......ark.html And you will be well on your way to being a top card cheat. |

Hi Cards123,
Good as those sources are, Steve Forte is in a league of his own. He may not teach the moves directly, but his technique and methods can and do yeild up to prolonged and close scrutiny by a diligent student. These days you can get the video's mastered onto DVD and properly chaptered etc. I have done this and although its very expensive, its worth its weight in gold. Hi Clock, I own volumes 1,2 and 3 which are the volumes devoted to card manipulation and home game protection. They are a unique record of a wide variety of gambling sleights and methods and I strongly urge you to buy these if you are keen on gambling themed routines and their related sleights. Hope this helps. Regards, Paul H |

Forte is a gambling god. No offence card123, but those dvds are about as good as the cases that come with Mr.Forte's series. Well maybe not Simons stuff, his is always enjoyable.

Of course I'm not kidding.
Simon lovell does lots of moves and teaches them indepth.Plus he says lots of funny words that only the english can use. I read Simons interview and he knows what he is talking about when it comes to cheating. He even said that the so called "gambling experts" don't know what they are talking about. Steve forte does more moves but Simon lovell does his moves a lot better and he knows what he's talking about as he is THE gambling expert. If I had to have someone join my 'crew' I would choose lovell. He's the greatest. I was also told that Darwin ortiz was a student of his and that's where Darwin got his crooked gambling knowledge from.So as you can see Simon is 'THE MAN' |

HUH??? Darwin Ortiz a student of Simon Lovell? is that true?
Anyway, I have watched Simon Lovell's Art of Card Cheating Vol 1 and 2 and Darwin Ortiz's On Card Gambling VHS. IMO Ortiz does it much betta then Simon. I also have the gambling protection series and I preserve them very well cos VHS turns moldy quite easily if left neglected. As for Steve Forte, After watching his stuff, he is really IMO a lot betta then Simon Now I am not saying simon is not good. In fact, I really love his close up effects and bought his Method Behind the Madness DVDs from Penguin Magic and I love his humor and effects. However, when it comes to gambling stuff, I still personally prefer Ortiz and Forte and find them more skillful But that's just me cheerios

Im not saying I have a crew but if I did I would prefer Lovell on board as he is the 'Real deal'.
I am a bit of a gambling expert.I have read all of darwins, fortes, and Lovells material so I know what I'm talking about. Plus I have been doing the crooked gambling stuff for about 4 years now so I have plenty of experiance. And I can do all of fortes card moves so I think I am just as good as he is. |

Also, Simons second deal stands above Darwins, Forte's and even Marlo's because he has better patter to go with it, longer fingernails and wears a cubic zirconia (sp?) ring and a brown jacket when he performs it. Get real dude. |

The only person I've seen I thought was better or equally good as forte was Kevin Raye from England (Sadly passed away few years ago). |

True, he doesn't teach by EXPLAINING per se, but he sure as heck teaches by EXAMPLE -- meaning, watching him you know what the move is supposed to look like. You get to see how clean the move can REALLY look when done by a master. While this isn't the same thing as what we usually call "teaching", you're not going to convince me these tapes aren't something from which a student can learn. Respectfully, DD |
