Are there any "mainstream" psychology publications (not directly targeted to mentalists ... e.g. college texts, papers, studies, etc.) that you have benefited from as a mentalist (either directly of indirectly)? If so please name the most significant ones ...

It's difficult to cite any specific pychology text. Most of the time, I'll glean one or two useful bits of information from a psych book. I've found more overall value in books that are more anthropological in nature. A few examples that come to mind: "Humankind" by Peter Farb, "The Body Reader" edited by Ted Polhemus, and various books by Marvin Harris.
