Does anyone own this effect? Is it good? Can it be done with any two decks?

Blind Luck is actually a pretty neat effect. Yes, it can use any two decks. The presentation calls for the spectator to handle the deck behind his/her back for a brief moment. As long as you're comfortable with the rationale or can work around that one point, I think you'll have something that's pretty remarkable. At the end, both decks are fully examinable, nothing is added or taken away from either deck.

Agreed--this is a cool trick that requires a little set-up but does not use gaffs of any kind. I highly recommend it.

I learned Blind Luck before meeting and becoming friends with Dan Paulus; my opinion then is the same as it now...this effect rocks.
It was actually one of two effects shown to me by a demonstrator in a shop who then lied and told me that the effect was unattainable and that I shouldn't even bother trying to find it. I did try and, thankfully, succeeded. Excellent effect that I perform frequently.
Your EFFECT is only as good as its AFFECT.

I have this and would recommend it. I have had nothing but excellent responses from blind luck! You have to trust the spectator when they handle the deck though. I wouldnt do this for drunk people......

Recieved the DVD today and its a very neat effect! Maybe a magician fooler? For the price of a pack trick you get a DVD that enables an examinable miracle. If a handling could be thought of to avoid putting it behind the back (I suspected a deck switch-though I was wrong, but it does look suspect).

Harry, The spectator can do the deck cutting under a large silk in front of everyone.

This has to probably be one of the best and simple card tricks to have EVER brought out. This is in my act all the time, and yes, it is a magician fooler. Until afterwards everyone comes up to you and says, "What's that called, where can I get it?" I class the trick as self working, as the magician essentially does nothing, so in that sense, this is the BEST self working trick to be brought out. Remember to stress the fact that they can choose any deck. For those who have it, try a larger card gap for more free handling. Mine is 5, so those of you who have it whould know what I mean. |

Christopher is right...
It truly is a fantastic effect that will fry laymen (and will fool magicians as well). Well worth the VHS or DVD! Sean |
